Discover the magic of Italian Natural Wines
What are they, and what are the differences between organic, biodynamic, and Natural wines?
Perhaps you’re already familiar with natural wines, have tried a few or even a lot, and would like to better understand how they’re made.
When one writes or talks about natural wine history usually the beginnings are situated in France in the ‘ 80’s with a reference to ‘grand dad’ Jules Chauvet. During my research for my upcoming book I found there is more to it then that, happy to share some interesting details.
Health is even more of an issue post-COVID. More and more people are sensitive to sulfites and other substances. Natural Wine is therefore the right choice, as many winemakers don’t add any sulfites at all. The wines are also as less manipulated as possible, “low intervention.”
Because there are no additives and minimal processing, it’s extremely important that the winemaker has very healthy grapes.
This also feels different in your body; the wine goes down well, digests easily, gives you energy, and it still feels great the next day 🙂
